This project consisted of demolition of existing shower tile, fixtures, the window and floor covering and sub floor.  We shored up the shower wall framing and installed cement board around the enclosure.  You can see from the before pictures how much rot existed behind the shower tile!  The same existed for the sub flooring.  The existing floor was removed and a new sub floor built.  The exterior window casing was also reframed as was the exterior side of the window.  The entire bathroom was then tiled with Florida Tile Designline series supplied locally through Contract Furnishing Mart. The pattern was designed by the client in Treetop (sage), Lilac and Bright White tiles.  The floor tile is 6x6 and wall tiles are 4x4.  The window was replaced with glass block, 6x6x3 Thinline series, model Delphi from Seattle Glass Block, Inc.  The existing shower fixtures were replaced with Price Pfister R-88 series in polished chrome.

The kitchen lighting was remodeled by removing the fluorescent lighting and cover, patching and painting the ceiling sheetrock and then installing can lighting around the counter perimeter.  In the children's bathroom, we removed the existing toilet, vanity, vinyl floor covering and base.  The new flooring is Oregon Tile ceramic tile in Slate and we used the same slate to create the wall base for a continuous pattern scheme.  The owner furnished vanity is by Fairmont Designs, Shaker II which they purchased through A-Ball Plumbing Supply, Inc. on West Burnside in Portland.  This was a small project which contained elements of handyman work (minor plumbing, electrical, patching etc.) as well as a small bathroom remodel.  We also had the client's garage doors serviced for them at no extra charge.  No project is too small or too large for ABSI!

The existing tile and vinyl floor covering were removed from this bathroom and replaced with new ceramic tile on the floor, bath surround and shower interior.  Countertop and accent pieces were done in a green and black marble.  Also demolished were the existing shower door, vanity and shelving in the linen closet (not shown) as well as the tub surround and mirror glass door.  Our crew re-structured the tub surround to fit the new jetted Jacuzzi tub and revamped the plumbing (new fixtures face in different direction), strengthened and leveled the sub flooring, built new shelving in the linen closet (not shown), replaced the shower enclosure, retiled the shower enclosure, tub surround, floor, and new vanity top.  Additional floor tile was put in under the new vanity and in the linen closet.  New shower fixtures and vanity lighting were also installed.  The mirrored bi-fold door was replaced with an existing door and frosted privacy glass was installed in the entry double doors.  You can see a partial image of this in the mirror/lighting image.  Materials on this project were supplied by the owner from The Home Depot, George Morlan Plumbing and Canyon Glass in Beaverton, Oregon.

Our client wanted a combination rumpus room for the children and TV room.  The 400 square foot garage was tied into a side porch area at the roof line to the main house.  The garage door was removed and a Milgard bay window installed with a custom made toy box beneath. Custom shelving was built into the back area with a rough-in storage area behind. Double French doors that the owner purchased from The Home Depot were added to the top of the steps we built to adjoin the two structures.  The exterior driveway was excavated and prepared to be a lawn area.  This project was built to code with inspections by the City of Portland Bureau of Development  Services.

We work mainly by referral.  I'd like to extend a BIG thank you to my wonderful clients for your trust and willingness to let us into your homes and help materialize your visions! - Lynn
